Ormosia coccinea is a plant that grows throughout the South Eastern North American countries, and all throughout South America. It produces beautiful seeds that are called Huayruro in Peru. The red seeds with one black spot, this one is known as the male seed. The female seed will only be red. Incas believed that this seed will bring protection and fortune to the wearer.
The necklace also carries some Rudraksha seeds from India. These seeds are also known as Shiva Tears according to Indian mythology. They promote protection and spiritual development.
The Chakana, is also kwnon as the Inca cross. Incas believed that the cross represents the 3 world levels: the death life (serpent), the human life (jaguar), and the spiritual life (condor). This pendant is made of stone.
